I am Judith Reynolds, and widowed after 52 years of marriage. I was born in Norton and apart from spending twelve years away with my husband’s job, I have lived on the Welbeck Estate all my life.
I was educated at Cuckney School before Retford Girls’ High School, and then I worked for the N.C.B. computer offices at Mansfield after which I spent two years in the Far East. I have three children and five grand-children, who, with the exception my eldest daughter, also live on the estate.
I spent over fifteen years working with my husband administrating Bassetlaw and Newark and Sherwood Neighbourhood Watch, attending Worksop Police Station on a regular basis. I have been the secretary of the local village hall committee for well over twenty years, I have been a school governor for about ten years and a parish councillor since 2001.
